Service Description
This 30-minute medical consultation is the first step in your Wegovy journey. Our healthcare professional will assess your medical history, discuss your weight management goals, and determine if Wegovy is a safe and appropriate option for you. Wegovy is a prescription-only medication containing semaglutide, designed to support weight management in adults who are obese (BMI ≥ 30) or overweight (BMI ≥ 27) with at least one weight-related health condition, such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. It should be used in combination with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Wegovy works by mimicking a natural hormone that regulates appetite, helping to reduce hunger and increase feelings of fullness. It is administered once a week as a subcutaneous injection into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. The dosage is gradually increased over 16 weeks to reach the full maintenance dose, helping to minimise gastrointestinal side effects. Wegovy is intended for weight management in adults who are either: Classified as obese (BMI ≥ 30), or Overweight (BMI ≥ 27) with at least one weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. It should be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for best results. How it works: Wegovy contains semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist that mimics a natural hormone in the body to help regulate appetite and food intake. It helps reduce hunger and increase feelings of fullness. How to use: Wegovy is administered once weekly as a subcutaneous injection (under the skin of the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm). The dose is gradually increased over 16 weeks to reach the full maintenance dose, helping to minimize gastrointestinal side effects. Warnings & precautions: Wegovy is not suitable for individuals with type 1 diabetes or those seeking rapid weight loss. It should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please email us at info@thelabnz.com at least 48 hours in advance to avoid cancellation or rescheduling fees. Cancellations Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will incur the full service fee. Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours prior to the appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee. No-shows will be charged the full service fee. Rescheduling We allow one reschedule per appointment, provided it is made more than 48 hours in advance. Rescheduling within 48 hours of the original appointment will be treated the same as a cancellation and subject to applicable fees (50% if more than 24 hours’ notice is given; 100% if less than 24 hours). Multiple last-minute reschedules may result in the requirement to pre-pay in full for future appointments or may lead to refusal of future bookings. Payment and Enforcement An automatic invoice for the cancellation or rescheduling fee will be issued and must be settled within 7 working days. Failure to make payment may result in debt recovery action through our nominated collection agency. Additional charges may apply, including collection fees and interest.
